Gōtokuji Temple

Known as the birthplace of the maneki-neko, this Edo-period temple is filled with hundreds of beckoning-cat figurines and a photogenic “corridor of luck.” Quiet grounds with maples in autumn — plan about a 15-minute walk from the station and check the shop’s opening hours if you want to buy a cat.
